Where Inclusion Comes to Life

Every Hobbee event is designed to shift perspectives and bring people closer — emotionally, socially, and physically. Our gallery highlights moments where joy, curiosity, and human connection reshaped how participants view disability and inclusion.

Campus Wheelchair Tour

Campus Wheelchair Tour

Experience campus from a new perspective.

During our wheelchair tours, participants navigate familiar spaces using a wheelchair, guided by volunteers who share insights on daily accessibility challenges. What begins as a simple activity quickly becomes a powerful realization: the campus we know isn't equally accessible to all.

Blind Stick Tour

Blind Stick Tour

Step into the world of visual impairment.

In the blind stick tour, participants rely on guidance, sound, and touch while navigating blindfolded with a cane. Volunteers from Toegankelijk Tilburg help participants understand what it means to move through campus without sight, the obstacles, the trust required, and the moments of vulnerability and courage.

Living Library – Speed-Dating Conversations

Living Library – Speed-Dating Conversations

Real stories. Real emotions. Real connection.

Our signature Living Library creates short, intimate one-on-one conversations between participants and individuals with disabilities, our 'living books.' In each 10–15 minute round, volunteers share their journeys, challenges, empowerment stories, and perspectives on disability and identity. This format breaks stereotypes, fosters vulnerability, and helps participants see the person, not the disability.

Adaptive Sports

Adaptive Sports

Disability inclusion through movement, energy, and play.

Through our adaptive sports sessions, participants try sports designed or adapted for people with disabilities, such as wheelchair basketball and CrossFit with simulated impairments. Led by inspiring partners, from Paralympic athletes like Ivana Maas to organizations like Basketball Experience NL and Special Olympics NL, these workshops help participants understand ability in a whole new way.

Speaker Events

Speaker Events

Stories that stay with you.

Our speaker sessions bring forward the voices of athletes, advocates, and individuals with disabilities whose life journeys challenge the way we see disability. From Olympic gold medalists to local community leaders, these talks transform how participants view inclusion.
